Getting to know your clients, is on the the many things I love about my job! Chris & Jen have been so wonderful to work with. I had the pleasure of photographing their Heart & Crown engagement session, Petrie Island family shoot & now their beautiful Courtyard wedding. 

Everything was so simple & elegant, just as they described it would be. You can never go wrong with black, red and white colour tones.

RESEARCH FUND 

On May 2^nd I had the honor of photographing , The Friends with Benefits Event in support of The Jennie James Depression Research Fund. The room at Lago was filled with a wonderful group of people, beautiful speeches in memory of Jennie and a great energy. If you missed the event this year, hopefully you’ll be able to attend next year and come out and support a great cause. 

To all the volunteers who made this event possible & Jennie James amazing family, thank you for creating such a wonderful event & making everyone out there aware of the cause. A BIG THANKS to LAURA HAMMOND!!!

"Launched last May in 2012, the 2012 and 2013 Friends With Benefits events have raised over $28,000 for the Jennie James Depression Research Fund to promote awareness, understanding, research and treatment of depression and to end the silence surrounding suicide. The Fund contributes directly to the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health to support the best possible patient care and leading edge research provided by the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, the Brockville Mental Health Centre, and the uOttawa Institute of Mental Health Research. 2014′s event exceeded expectations: the 150 advanced tickets were sold out a week before the event, there was friendly competition for the silent auction items donated by over 50 local businesses, and the event attracted media attention from Rogers Daytime, Boom 99.7, the Ottawa Sun, Ottawa Citizen and the Ottawa blog Be Healthy Be Beautiful."
