Chris & Jen's Family Session

Chris & Jen's Family Session

As a photographer engagement sessions prior to the bride & grooms wedding day is so important for many reasons. Not all brides and grooms are interested in having an engagement session, but I'll explain why I think it's a good idea.
1. You get to know each other before your big day. This way on your wedding day it's like having a friend photographing you, not a stranger.
2. Your photographer gets to see you behind the lens prior to your wedding day. Why is this important?   For me, I know how to position you as a couple, what works & what doesn't work has already been set during your engagement shoot. Skin tones can be challenging at times, this will be ironed out too.  Your photographer will know how comfortable you are having your picture taken, or at least get you prepared for your big day. This way you will know what to expect.
3. Simply it's just fun! Engagement shoots should be relaxed, enjoyable & give you photos you can cherish forever.
Chris & Jen had a fun engagement session in the Byward Market in September, we had a blast! When they asked me to photograph their family as well, I was thrilled. This gives us the opportunity to all meet prior to Chris & Jen's wedding in May. Meeting his parents, sister, brother in-law and two adorable children was a great! I look forward to seeing all of you again in May :)

My Family I Got To Know, During A Photo Shoot
Isn't it weird to have family out there you never see & hardly know? It's actually more of a shame, that life is just so busy! As a child, I spent some time with my cousin Lia & her brothers. To be honest, I haven't seen them since. I got to know my cousin Lia in my adult years over Facebook. I got to see on a daily bases the love she had for her 3 boys & after this photo shoot, I can see why.  They are a joy to be around & my camera just loved them both :) Aidan her second oldest, has that gift. What I mean by this, In life you meet people with the kindest eyes & such a joyful personality that you can't help but want to get to know them more! Aidan has this kind of personality, you just instantly love him! Avery, the youngest son out of her three boys is just too cute for words! I can't wait too see him grow. As well, he shares the same name as my oldest daughter. I'm glad our family has two beautiful Avery's :) Thank you Lia & Family for this beautiful session. And for everyone who has family out there you don't know very well, give them a call :)

Miranda And Rob Are Engaged!

Miranda and Rob will be getting married next Fall in Cambridge.
We spent a lovely hour walking in behind Convent Glen Mall. I wanted to give them a little variety in their engagement shoot. The fire exit with a combination of nature, worked out perfectly. Congrats again to the both of you!
You make one stunning couple :)
